“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” is kind of stuck in our heads right now. Normally that’d be fine on December 13, but now it’s a bit morbid.
Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) plan finally came together, but Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) had totally played him. Since Klaus’s (Joseph Morgan) hybrids were all un-sired (and therefore useless to the OV), he ripped their hearts out, one by one. It was blood and snow all over the place.
Wisely, Tyler decided to steer clear of his former master after Hayley told him what was happening in the woods. When Klaus came looking for his last hybrid, he found Mayor Lockwood instead. Carol asked Klaus not to hurt her son. So he didn’t. He hurt her instead.
As the Christmas carol played, Klaus drowned Tyler’s mother and left her floating in the fountain.
